A local teenager is fighting for his life after being shot in the head in East Flatbush early Tuesday.

The gunfire broke out at 12:19 a.m. on April 29 in the courtyard area of Flatbush Garden Apartments. Officers from the 67th Precinct found the 17-year-old male, whose identity has not been released, unconscious and unresponsive.

Paramedics rushed him to Kings County Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The incident follows the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old in Coney Island on Sunday afternoon.

A longtime resident, Ronald Gibson, told Brooklyn Paper he was shocked to learn of yet another shooting in the area.

“I can’t believe this happened again. This is the third or fourth shooting I can remember here.” he said. “I am trying to get my family out of here. I have young sons, and this breaks my heart.”
