These kids were on the hunt!

Young Kings Countians scoured Pierrepont Playground for the green space’s annual Easter egg hunt Saturday.

The outing, sponsored by the Brooklyn Heights Association, drew families to the Pierrepont Place park from all over the Heights, such as local kindergartner Patrick Gorman, who teamed up with his friends to find the hidden treasures, according to his mom.

“Patrick loved that all his friends were there,” said Silvana Gorman.

Gorman and her husband brought their three kids — Grace, 2, Patrick, 5, and Sofia, 10 — for a day of hunting treats, making Easter drawings, and enjoying the spring warmth, a world away from the year before, according to Gorman.

“Last year there was snow on the ground,” she said.

Sofia, the eldest sibling, helped out some of the younger egg hunters with their bounty, according to Gorman.

“She only took a few eggs and was giving them to other kids too,” she said. “Now that she has a phone, she thinks she’s a grown up.”

The family brought some Easter-themed cupcakes they made for the baked goods sale, which donates its proceeds to help fund the playground.

“They were vanilla and had green grass with bunnies on top,” Gorman said.

Patrick’s friend Braden was a very eager egg hunter, even finding some more than he was supposed to take, according to his mom.

“He did find six, even though he was only supposed to take four so that there would be enough for all the kids,” Jess Prager said.

Both families return year after year because they get to catch up with her neighbors, according to Prager.

“It’s nice too see the parents in the neighborhood and catch up, it’s always a nice social gathering,” she said.
