Whaddaya get if you mix eggs, booze and science nerds? An omelette of a good time!
Before they were completely fried, egg heads at Union Pool in Williamsburg scrambled to put a hipster spin on a grade-school staple by teaming up for an egg-drop contest in the courtyard of the former pool supply store on Union and Meeker avenues.
Participants at the event, sponsored by the Chairmen of the Bored, reinforced themselves with liquid ammo while constructing egg-protecting devices inside a nearby recreation hall, before heading outdoors to poach bragging rights.
The Chairmen bring together folks who dig fun and new friendships, and hosts nerdy game nights, scavenger hunts and “nonsense-mongering” — all for the sake of high-fiving life.
