This is the story all about how an old man got flipped, turned upside down.
An elderly Brooklyn Heights man slipped and cut his head on the snowy set of a new Will Smith movie on Wednesday night — but the star did not bother to check up on the injured senior, according to a witness.
The senior fell while crossing Joralemon Street at Willow Place around 8:29 pm, after the crew covered the streets and sidewalks in water and snow to create a winter scene for the film “Collateral Beauty,” the witness said.
Smith was running lines nearby with actress Naomie Harris, but it was the crew who swooped in immediately and called an ambulance, according to the onlooker.
The injured senior was talking and able to walk, but appeared shaken up as he sat on a stoop for 10 minutes while residents came out to help, the witness said. But Smith — who played a doctor in last year’s “Concussion” and a “date doctor” in 2005’s “Hitch” — did not come over to see how he was doing, he said.
Paramedics arrived and bandaged up the oldster’s bleeding noggin, and took him to the nearby emergency room formerly known as Long Island College Hospital, according to the Fire Department.
A woman at the Brooklyn Heights residence where the man was headed before the accident said the fall was “nothing.”
A spokesperson for the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment claimed that it always ensures productions “maintain a safe pedestrian passage at all times” and that a police officer stationed on set was able to help the wounded gent.
The film’s production companies did not return request for comment.
