More than 600 students, parents and teachers from the Beginning with Children and Williamsburg communities convened at the playground at Beginning with Children Charter School (BwCCS) for the school’s family field day.
“One of the best ways to bring together a school community is by having fun,” said John DiPaolo, executive director of the Beginning with Children Foundation. “By fostering community and friendships between our school’s families and the Brooklyn community, we’re creating ties that can last a lifetime and promote a stronger education for our students.”
The event, part of the school’s efforts to maintain and build strong relationships between the school families and the community, featured activities including a barbeque, field games and carnival booths like the ever popular Dunk Tank which offered students and their families the opportunity to sink one of six brave teachers.
Beginning with Children Charter School is located at 11 Bartlett Street.
