A man is dead after his vehicle slammed into two cars parked along Marine Parkway on April 30.

Preston Byrd, 61, of East Flatbush, was driving southbound on the parkway near Avenue R around 2:20 pm when he suffered from a pre-existing health condition and lost control of his mini-van, police and fire sources said.

Emergency personnel removed Byrd to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead, according to police and fire officials.

The parked cars were unoccupied, and no other injuries were reported, police said. Officials could not confirm the nature of Byrd’s health condition and did not release his name by press time.
