Punch upon waking
A good-for-nothing punched a woman in the face once she woke up from a nap and realized he was stealing her cellphone on a train near the Gravesend Neck Road station on June 12, police said.
The woman told police she boarded the Coney Island-bound Q train at Newkirk Avenue and fell asleep, but she woke up at 5:45 am near Gravesend Neck Road and E. 16th Street to find a knave taking her Samsung Note 5 from the pocket of her shirt.
The jerk then punched her in the face and fled the subway at 5:50 am at the Gravesend Neck Road station, according to authorities.
Playground brawl
Police cuffed three guys — two 15-year-olds and one 20-year-old — for punching a 16-year-old in the face and swiping his cellphone in Kelly Park near E. 16th Street on June 13.
The three suspects approached the teen near Avenue S at 12:30 pm and said “Run your pockets!” police reported.
But when he refused, one of the suspects punched him and he fell to the ground, police said. The suspects then grabbed his iPhone 5C from his pant pocket and started kicking him while he was on the ground, according to authorities.
The chumps fractured the teen’s wrist and left him swollen and bruised, police said.
Cable jumper
A scoundrel stole electronics from an Ocean Avenue store on June 12 and then pushed a worker as he was leaving, police said.
The punk walked into the store near Avenue Y at 5:15 pm and took cables, according to authorities. The malefactor then pushed the employee as he was leaving the store at 6 pm, causing bruising and swelling to the worker’s left arm, which was treated by emergency responders who came to the scene, police said.
For the taking
A rogue snatched a handful of cash from a teen near Avenue V on June 15, police said.
The teen told police the nogoodnik came up to him near E. Eighth Street, and he got nervous so he pulled out his wallet, which the miscreant then swiped. The worm then took out $600 and threw the teen’s wallet in his face, according to authorities.
Bike thefts
Bandits swiped bicycles from garages and sheds in three separate incidents this week, police said. Here’s the rundown:
• A cur broke into a woman’s Girard Street garage on June 15 and stole two two-wheelers, police said.
The woman told police the sneak broke the lock of her garage near Shore Boulevard at 8:48 am and took her blue Cannondale City Racer and a Specialized Hotrock 2YXC, according to authorities.
• Police arrested a 64-year-old man who they say swiped a woman’s ride from her Oriental Boulevard garage on June 16.
The 45-year-old woman told police she saw the suspect take her cycle from the garage near Amherst Street at 5:25 pm. The suspect had five active summons warrants, according to a police report.
• A lawbreaker lifted a woman’s two-wheeler from a storage shed in her Lancaster Avenue backyard sometime between June 11 and June 19, police said.
The woman told police the weasel took her foldable bike from her shed near E. 12th Street, though there was no damage to the locks, according to authorities.
Give him credit
A sneak broke into a guy’s Batchelder Street home and took his wallet while he was sleeping on June 19, police said.
The man told police the wretch got into his home near Avenue Y through his balcony by cutting a hole in the rear screen door sometime between 3 am and 9 am.
The reprobate snatched the guy’s wallet from his couch in the living room with an American Express credit card, Chase credit card, and Citibank credit card, police said. The baddie also used one of the cards to buy an unlimited MetroCard at a subway station, according to authorities.
