Pepper spray sleazeball

An ogre randomly pepper-sprayed a 20-year-old woman on E. 16th Street on July 19.

The woman told police she was near Avenue U, on her way home, at 11:30 pm when the goon approached her from behind and said, “Give me all your s—,” according to a police report.

The brute then pepper-sprayed the victim in the eyes and ran away without touching her or taking any of her things, an official stated.

Pill-popping perp

Police apprehended a man on July 22 who they say robbed a man and burned him with a cigarette on Homecrest Avenue — after saying he was high on anti-depressants.

The victim told police that the defendant approached him at 11:30 pm near William Court and said, “I got a gun. Run your s—, I’m on five Xanax,” while pretending he had a gun in his pants pocket.

The suspect allegedly ripped a white metal necklace with a green pendant from the victim’s neck and burned the victim’s right bicep with a cigarette, police said.

Masked robbery

A malicious miscreant donned a mask and robbed a man at gunpoint on July 20 in the lobby of an Avenue X building.

The victim was in the lobby of the building near Batchelder Street just before 6 am when the wrongdoer, sporting a blue bandana that covered his face, pointed a black gun at the victim and said, “Give me everything you got before I shoot you,” according to the cops.

The victim gave up his Galaxy S6 smartphone, $200, and his debit card, a police report said.

Cable culprit

An unknown scoundrel stole cable boxes and other equipment from a commercial truck on Avenue W on July 24.

The cable company’s truck was parked near Batchelder Street at 1:40 pm when the thief broke the lock on the side door and made off with five high-definition cable boxes, three modems, and three routers, police said.
