Bruisers
Four brutes beat up and robbed a teen in a Neptune Avenue parking lot on June 16, police said.
He said he was on a path in the lot between W. Fifth and W. Sixth streets around 7:15 pm when four toughs surrounded him. One hit him in the back of the head with some brass knuckles and another grabbed his cellphone while he was on the ground, according to police.
Pistol-toting pair
A pair of louts pulled a gun on a teen on W. 23rd Street on June 13, authorities said.
He told police he was between Mermaid and Surf avenues around 11:15 am when two men approached him and asked for $5. He refused, but they would not take “no” for an answer, and one pulled a gun out, a police report noted.
The other grabbed the victim’s wallet containing $310, and the pair split, officials reported.
Turn the tables
Police arrested a guy who they say beat up and tried to rob a man of his gold necklace on W. Third Street on June 18.
The victim was near W. Brighton Avenue just before midnight when a man came up from behind him, pulled him by his necklace, and repeatedly punched him in the chest, police reported.
The victim managed to get the upper hand, however, and he pinned the man on the ground and called police, authorities said. But the brute was not finished — he bit the victim’s arm and broke his gold bracelet before police could get there, according to authorities.
Left out in the heat
A burglar grabbed some air-conditioning units and a water heater from a Brighton Seventh Street house on June 11, according to police.
Security footage shows the guy force open the front door of the house between Neptune and Ocean View avenues around 4 pm, cops said. He grabbed the goods and walked right out the front door with them, police said.
