Prescription for violence
Two gun-toting goons robbed a Kings Highway pharmacy on Jan. 16, police said.
The pair stormed into the store between W. 11th and W. 12th streets in Bensonhurst at 3:12 am, and one pointed a black handgun at the clerk while the second went behind the register, handed the clerk a bag, and told him to fill it with cash, a report states.
The robbers made off with $400 and fled on Kings Highway toward W. 11th Street, officials said.
Cell-mate
A pistol-packing punk robbed a man of cash and a cellphone on W. Seventh Street on Jan. 14, according to the authorities.
The ne’er-do-well pointed a black handgun at the victim between avenues T and U in Gravesend at 9:45 pm and said, “Yo, give me your dough and phone,” a police account says.
The victim handed over his stuff, and the robber fled in a white, late-model sedan, heading toward Avenue T, police said.
School’s out — of cash
Someone stole $1,520 from a poorly attended pile of cash in a public school on Jan. 12, cops said.
Officials at the high school between 16th and 17th Avenues in Bensonhurst counted and bagged cash before putting it in an unlocked safe on the campus at 10 am, according to a police report that did not indicate what the money was for or how much it totaled before the theft. Numerous people had access to the safe, the report notes.
Two days later, a school worker brought the cash to the assistant principal to deposit, but no one recounted the money, officials said. The administrator left the cash on his desk for three hours — and several people had access to his office during that time, police said.
The assistant principal brought the money to a bank, and the teller told him the amount in the bag didn’t match the deposit slip, according to officers.
Smash-and-grab
A good-for-nothing busted a parked car’s window on McDonald Avenue on Jan. 11 and stole jewelry, law enforcement officials said.
The victim parked her car between Avenue P and Quentin Road at 9 pm, and when she returned, she found that someone had smashed the rear passenger-side window and grabbed jewelry and a gym bag, according to a report.
Papers pinched
A burglar snuck into a 74th Street home and stole immigration papers on Jan. 12, per police.
The thief climbed into the apartment between 14th and 15th avenues in Bensonhurst through an open, first-floor window at 7 pm and took electronics and immigration papers, officers said.
