The Council on the Environment of New York City is hosting the Fifth Annual Green Brooklyn%u2026Green City at Brooklyn Borough Hall and Columbus Park, 209 Joralemon Street, September 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Three workshops: Local vs. Organic, State of the Climate, and Green Your Business, will feature leaders in the field such as Columbia University’s Dr. Radley Horton, Navy Yard President Andrew Kimball, and Anna Lappe, bestselling author and noted environmentalist.
Residents can also drop off their clothing to be recycled or turned into a large-scale textile sculpture led by Derick Melander.
