Two-bit crook
A jerk jumped on a woman’s back and robbed her on Douglass Street on Jan. 22.
The 49-year-old victim was near Hoyt Street at around 2:20 pm when a man sidled up and asked her for money. She handed over 50 cents, but the dissatisfied brute suddenly jumped on her back and grabbed two envelopes containing $200. Cops later arrested the creep.
Cash and carry
Someone burglarized a Van Brunt Street restaurant overnight on Jan. 22.
The 53-year-old victim said he left F&M Bagels at around 5 pm and returned at 7:10 the next morning to find that $90 and a cash register were gone.
