To The Editor:
School District 20 has truly lost a legend in the education community with the passing of Lucrecia Marsigliano.
For two decades, Lucrecia was a dynamic force behind the community school board and was a real advocate for the children of our communities.
Lucrecia stood up on important issues facing our district, was at the forefront of creating real programs for our school, led the battle to open the extension at Public School 314 in Sunset Park, and fought to keep funding in our communities.
Her legacy is secure, her kindness indisputable and her dedication unique. And who can forget her outfits! She was a legend, and a role model for community leadership. The district has suffered a great loss and she will be missed.
