Firefighters battled an inferno in a 73rd Street apartment building early morning on Aug. 15, which sent nine people, including firefighters, to the hospital, said a spokeswoman for the fire department.
New York’s Bravest responded to reports of a blaze inside the building between Third Avenue and Ridge Boulevard at 7 am, and 105 firefighters had it under control by just before 8 am, the spokeswoman said.
Emergency responders transported three civilians and six firefighters to a local hospital, all with non-life-threatening injuries, she said.
Fire Marshals are investigating what sparked the flames, according to the spokeswoman.
