Firefighters battled a blaze that broke out within multiple Bensonhurst dwellings on Tuesday.

Units with the Fire Department of New York arrived at 2052 71st St., near the corner of 21st Avenue, just after 1 p.m. on April 23 to find heavy flames making their way across multiple attached two-story private homes. The fire reportedly started in the attic of one of the buildings.

More than 100 firefighters responded to the scene and worked to extinguish inferno, utilizing six hose lines to bring the blaze under control at 2:57 p.m.

So far, no residents have been reported injured and searches of the building have not indicated any victims. Two firefighters are being evaluated for injuries, according to officials.

The cause of the blaze will be determined by the FDNY Fire Marshal’s Office.
