Misery loves company
From Jo Firestone, the Brooklynite who brought us Punderdome 3000, Friends of Single People, and the Inner-Beauty Pageant, comes yet another bizarre bar-based comedy night. In Your Fantastic Life, “miserable” audience members will share their tales of woe with a panel of comedians, and said funny folks then have 10 minutes to try and improve that person’s life in some measurable way.
8 pm at Union Hall [702 Union St. between Fifth and Sixth avenues in Park Slope, (718) 638–4400, www.unionhallny.com]. $6.

Jingle bell stop
Kings County Saloon banned Santa suits during SantaCon, and now it is banning Christmas tunes on Christmas Eve. It will, however, host a Christmas dance-off, and bartenders will be serving up the bar’s seasonal cocktail the “ghost-a-rita,” made with Absinthe, Cointreau, and citrus juices.
8 pm at Kings County Saloon [1 Knickerbocker Ave. between Johnson Avenue and Ingraham Street in Bushwick, (347) 987–3751, www.kingscountysaloon.com]. Free entry.
