Magic man!

Head down to sideshows by the seashore for “Hanky and a T-T-T-Top Hot,” an autobiographical one-man extravaganza from marvelous magician and mentalist Bobby Torkova, who sets aside his usual patter and rabbits-in-hats shtick to reveal his childhood as stuttering little boy who dreamed of the stage.

Burn, baby

At “The Roast of Your 15-year-old Self” comedians will take aim at their own awkward adolescence, using photos, old diary entries, and the occasional angst-filled musical number to skewer their overly dramatic teenage selves. Featuring Dylan Marron (pictured), Akilah Hughes, Marcia Belsky, and Alise Morales.

8 pm at Baby’s All Right [146 Broadway between Bedford and Driggs avenues in Williamsburg, (718) 599–5800, www.babysallright.com]. $10.

In bloom!

Jeff Goldblum gave perhaps his Jeff Goldblum-iest performance this year as the fey, omnipotent Grandmaster in “Thor: Ragnarok,” but all his roles have been awesome. Celebrate them all at “The Gold Standard: A Tribute to Jeff Goldblum,” featuring video clips, a trivia competition, and an impression contest (costumes encouraged!), where the winner walks away with a Jeff Goldblum shower curtain.

9 pm at Videology [308 Bedford Ave. at S. First Street in Williamsburg, (718) 782–3468], www.videologybarandcinema.com]. $15.

Selfie: Podcaster and comedian Dylan Marron will join the “Roast of Your 15-year-old Self” at Baby’s All Right on Jan. 9.
