Fire marshals are investigating a blaze that sparked inside a Bensonhurst shop on June 7.

Smoke billowed out a of the Bath Avenue building just after 9 pm, flooding the neighboring three-story house with thick, black smoke. It wasn’t clear where the fire began until Brooklyn’s Bravest broke into the ground-floor health food store, said a local fire chief.

“It was completely sealed up when we got here. We had to open up the gates,” said battalion chief Joseph Auditore. “Once we opened up the gates we saw a fire right inside.”

Firefighters arrived on the scene at 9:17 pm and busted inside the building, quickly suppressing the flames. Responders smashed windows at the three-story building to allow smoke the to escape, according to Auditore.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, officials said.
