Bag grab
A thief followed a woman into her home on East 49th Street on July 21, swiping two bags he found inside.
The 24-year-old woman told police she had just entered the home, which is between Flatlands Avenue and Avenue L, at 10:25 am when the suspect jammed a hard object into her back as if it were a gun.
The man then forced the woman further into the home before he and an accomplice grabbed two bags and left, although it was unclear what was in the bags by late Tuesday.
Teen terror
A 16-year-old was arrested on July 22 after he threatened to stab and shoot his would-be victim.
Police said the teen jumped his 17-year-old victim on Flatbush Avenue between Quentin Road and Avenue R at 1:40 pm. After making his threats, he pushed and shoved his victim, but ran off empty handed, police said.
Carjacker sought
A gun-toting thug settled for a 2001 GMC Yukon when he couldn’t get any money from his victim on July 23.
The 25-year-old victim had just exited his vehicle after parking it on East 58th Street between Foster and Farragut roads at 2:12 am when the stranger pulled a gun on him, demanding his cash.
When the victim said he didn’t have any money, the thief demanded the keys to the car and drove off with it, police were told.
Surrounded and robbed
Four thugs outmaneuvered a boy on July 22 and ran off with his cell phone.
The 16-year-old told police he was nearing the corner of Avenue H and Utica Avenue at 7:15 pm when the suspects surrounded him.
“Pass your phone over here,” one of the thugs ordered before running off with the goods.
Popped and robbed
A thug punched a woman in the face before running off with her bag on July 24.
Cops were told that the 22-year-old woman was on East 58th Street at Farragut Road at 5:15 am when she was attacked.
After punching her once, the thief ran off with the bag, which contained $300 and some credit cards.
Caustic confrontation
A fiend turned a caustic liquid into a weapon during a confrontation on July 23.
The 27-year-old victim was arguing with another woman inside her home, which is on East 59th Street between Avenues L and M, when the woman threw a bottle of liquid at the victim, splattering her with the acidic substance.
No serious injuries were reported.
Burglar bust
A thief was nabbed trying to break into a Bergen Beach home on July 23.
Police said that the 17-year-old crook entered the home, which is on East 71st Street and Avenue N, at 7:30 am after crawling through an air conditioner vent.
Cops caught up with the thief after he swiped $7,500, officials said.
Motoring menace
Armed with a hacksaw and a hammer, a thief tried to break into World Class Motors on Utica Avenue on July 23, but ended up behind bars for his trouble.
Police said the 29-year-old suspect tried to break the security gate locks to the auto dealership, which is between Avenues N and O, at 9:20 pm, but was unable to damage the locks.
He was just about to give up his pursuit when cops took him into custody, officials said.
Shot in Mill Basin
A man was hospitalized on July 20 after a gun-toting crew riddled him with bullets.
The 25-year-old victim, who miraculously survived the ordeal, despite being shot in the stomach, leg, and arm, said he was driving down East 58th Street between Avenues N and O just after midnight when the unidentified gunmen opened fire. Two bullets did all the damage, police said, adding that the victim was in stable condition after treatment.
The shooters were still at large by late Tuesday.
Detectives are investigating the possibility that the victim knew his attackers and that the shooting was a product of an ongoing dispute between them.

As the ongoing war against graffiti continues, cops are now offering a $500 reward to anyone with information that can lead them to vandals who are tagging up the community.
The hefty reward is part of the city’s push to rid New York of graffiti, which is one of the leading quality of life complaints brought to police.
