Members ushered in a slate for the incoming year during an officer installation of the Bergen Beach Civic Association.
Flo Hirsch was inducted as president of the grassroots group for the 25th consecutive year at the Hudson River Yacht Club, Bergen Avenue and Avenue U.
Area leaders helped mark the milestone anniversary by making presentations to Hirsch for her tenure; among them, Sol Needle of the Mill Island Civic Association and Community Board 18 District Manager Dorothy Turano.
In addition, a student awards presentation, lauding local youngsters with certificates of appreciation for their scholastic success and service to the community.
Among the honorees were: Dominique Taverna, Roy H. Mann Junior High School; Victoria Rapisarda, St. Bernard’s School; and Jordana Spitz, Public School 312.
