Here’s the kickoff!

The team tasked with promoting this season’s big game at the Meadowlands started the tour of its “Huddle Shuttle” — a mobile practice center — at Fort Hamilton Army Garrison on Nov. 23.

The New York-New Jersey Super Bowl Host Committee rolled out a simulated locker room, a Vince Lombardi Trophy case, artificial turf, and a battery of skills games for the troops at the base and their kids. More than 200 came out to practice their running, toss, field goal kick and touch down, and check out the awards and sports gear. Former Giants captain and defensive end George Martin was on hand to sign autographs.

“We got a great crowd,” said garrison spokesman Bruce Hill.

Hill said the host committee contacted the base about having the Huddle Shuttle begin its circle drill through the tri-state area at the Brooklyn military facility. The spokesman said the garrison was thrilled to open its gates and provide the sports-loving troops and military kids with a some extra exercise and Super Bowl hype.

“It was just a way to help them not only to promote their shuttle and their Super Bowl, but it let service members and their families to see the activities the shuttle had to offer,” said Hill.
