Fork You

A jilted man chased his estranged wife out of her apartment, wielding a fork and screaming obscenities at the woman and her teenage daughter, on Jan. 6.

The 36-year-old victim, who lives on Humbolt Street between Seigel and Boerum streets, said her husband forced his way into the apartment when she stepped into the hallway to take out her garbage. The 41-year-old suspect then started yelling and screaming and chased the woman into her daughter’s bedroom.

The woman and her daughter narrowly escaped injury when the suspect, fork in hand, broke down the door and chased them from the apartment. The victim called police, who arrested her ex.

Tool thief

A thug stole $3,425 worth of tools from a Lorimer Street construction site last weekend.

The thief apparently knew that the site, which is between Scholes and Stagg streets, had a security guard during the week.

But he also knew that it was unguarded from Friday night until Monday morning, allowing him to break into a storage area and make off with two nail guns, two saws, two screw guns and a toolbox filled with various tools.

Unwelcome

A Vermont man visiting Billyburg left his 2000 Lexus RX3 parked near the corner of Marcy Avenue and South Second Street overnight on Jan. 6 and returned the next morning to find his window broken and $1,100 worth of his property missing.
