Cops are looking for the two men they say robbed a woman at gunpoint inside a Fort Greene hotel on Jan. 26.
The 22-year-old victim told police she was staying at the Casa Blanca hotel on Park Avenue when two men knocked at her door at around 2:30 a.m. The woman said that both men, brandishing firearms, forced their way in when she opened the door. The perps then threatened the woman and demanded she hand over cash.
After taking $1,000 from the victim’s handbag, the men fled in an unknown direction. Cops are hoping to identify the men who were caught on the hotel’s security cameras.
Reports of both robbery and burglary are down year-to-date in Brooklyn’s 88th Precinct, where the incident occurred, according to Police Department data. As of Jan. 28, when the most recent data is available, there were five reported robberies in the precinct — down from nine during the same time last year — and six reported burglaries, down from 15 in 2023.
