Free fitness class

Harbor Fitness is offering free trial classes for its new Fiteenz program, November 3-13. Harbor Fitness knows that the communities it serves needs fun activities for young people to help stay active, and so is launching a fitness program for young adults.

Young people ages 12-16 can learn kickboxing, dance, Pilates, workout in boot camps and aerobics, and even practice yoga with certified fitness professionals. With a growing number of teenagers being overweight, and the incidence of Type 2 Diabetes on the rise, there is a strong need for fun, appealing programs to help kids stay active, get fit and build self- confidence.

In a supportive and non-competitive environment, young adults can participate in classes at either of Harbor Fitness’ two locations — 9215 Fourth Avenue in Bay Ridge (718-238-9400) or 191 15th Street in Park Slope (718-965-6200) — four days per week.

Harbor Fitness offers a wide variety of group fitness classes such as spinning, kickboxing, yoga and Pilates. Both locations offer free child care and the latest in cardio and strength training equipment. Parents or guardians will need to come in with their children to sign them up for the classes.
