Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz honors Brooklyn Poet Laureate Ken Siegelman with a free screening of “Fading To Zero,” a feature length documentary depicting the work and life of Siegelman.
Produced by Camellia South LLC and John Gavigan and directed by Silvana Gallardo, “Fading to Zero” incorporates candid interviews with Siegelman’s family, political figures and Hollywood stars in filmed sequences spotlighting the imagery of Siegelman’s poetry.
Stars of “Fading to Zero” who are scheduled to appear at the screening include Billy Drago, Kristanna Loken, Michelle Rodriguez, Gwendoline Yeo, Marie Matiko and supermodel Claudia Mason.
The May 7, 6:30 p.m. event will be held at Kingsborough Community College’s Leon N. Goldstein Theatre in Manhattan Beach. Refreshments will be served and there is free parking on campus. Although free of charge, seating is limited and you must reserve a space prior to the screening.
