A gun-toting mugger has turned the Fulton Mall into his own personal hunting ground.
Officials said that the 5’11” to 6’2” black male in his mid to late thirties has been responsible for four gunpoint heists stretching back to January 20.
In each incident, the thug approaches a male victim, flashes a gun and demands that his prey give up everything he has on him, said investigators, who were continuing their search as this paper went to press.
So far, no injuries have been reported.
Police said that the thief tends to focus on Fulton Street between Bridge Street and Flatbush Avenue. All of the robberies took place in the late afternoon or evening hours.
The first heist took place in front of a pawn shop near Hanover Place, when he pulled a gun on an unsuspecting victim and made off with his property.
He returned to the Fulton Mall area the next day, robbing another man near Bond Street at 4:30 p.m.
Police said that the thief robbed a third man near a McDonald’s at Bridge Street on January 25. He then laid low for two weeks before popping up on the NYPD radar again, this time robbing another man near Bond Street on Friday, February 12.
Cops caught a break recently when they managed to get a surveillance photo of the thief inside one of the stores in the Fulton Mall — apparently spending his spoils.
The photo, however, is anything but clear: he’s wearing dark sunglasses, a long olive colored winter trench coat with a fur lined hood and a baseball cap.
