Ashley Anglade, a senior at Bishop Kearney High School, has earned an incredible list of acceptances, scholarships and awards this year.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Anglade of Park Slope, Ashley received the highly selective and competitive National Achievement Scholarship. In addition, she has received acceptances and awards from Harvard University, Yale University, Princeton University, Georgetown University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and full scholarships from Alma College MI, St. John’s University and Westminster College UT, to name a few.
The faculty and staff regard Ashley as a committed, caring and enthusiastic member of the Kearney community, and an extremely gifted young lady who is considering a career in engineering.
Ashley has been involved in a variety of activities, including Student Council, where she most recently served as vice president of the senior class. She has been a contributing and active member of WBKS, the school’s television studio and was one of the anchors on the morning news. She also enjoyed being a member of the God’s Earth and Creatures Club and Kearney’s Book Club.
Ashley’s membership in the Celebrate Life Club allowed her to participate with her classmates in Washington DC’s March for Life for the past three years.
Recently, Ashley made her decision to attend Harvard University. “Although I am leaning toward a career in engineering,” she said, “I feel that Harvard will give me the opportunity to explore other options.”
