ong Island University’s Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts, located at the University’s Brooklyn campus, invites you to experience Genesis Dance Company, July 26-27 at 7:30 p.m.
Known for its mesmerizing appeal and fearless endurance, Genesis Dance celebrates its seventh annual performance season featuring new works by founder/artistic director, Karen L. Arceneaux, and several guest choreographers; guest performances by Von Ussar danceworks and other artists.
Tickets are $15 in advance; $20, day of the performance. On July 26 there are pre- and post-show receptions; tickets for the performance and receptions are $30.
City Teens Are Dancing Around Town is the show on July 30 at 11:30 a.m. This is an exciting, free, one-hour concert of original dances created and performed by an ensemble of New York City teens, directed by Alice Teirstein, percussion by William Catanzaro, plus an excerpt of work by Merce Cunningham.
