Bay Ridge
Cheers to the graduating class of Genesis, Xaverian’s middle school program. The June 8 invocation was presented by Elyssa Silverman, the valedictorian was Charlotte Albunio, and Samantha Fernandes gave the salutatorian’s address.
Forty-seven students earned a whopping $1.5 million in scholarships, in addition to an entry into the city’s top high schools, including their very own Xaverian High School, Marymount High School, Convent of the Sacred Heart High School, Regis High School, Staten Island Tech, and Brooklyn Tech.
Standing O thinks the super scholars are pretty terrific — and so does Patricia McEvoy, dean of students.
“The young men and women of the Class of 2013 are remarkable representatives of the Genesis standard of excellence,” she saud. “I am very proud of their many accomplishments, and I know they will have bright and rewarding futures.”
