Get your tickets right here in Brooklyn

Broadway and Off-Broadway lovers can now get their discounts right here in Brooklyn without any of the crowds and elbow-shoving of Manhattan.

The borough’s first TKTS Discount-Ticket Booth opened with fanfare worthy of a Great White Way show as Bensonhurst-born Broadway star Kerry Butler and Borough President Marty Markowitz joined area officials to welcome New York City’s third such ticket outlet with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, presented by the Theatre Development Fund and MetroTech Business Improvement District.

TKTS Downtown will offer tickets for Broadway, Off-Broadway, music, dance and Brooklyn performing arts events to boroughites and visitors at low-cost prices, including same-day evening and next-day matinee tickets for up to 50 percent off.

The booth is open weekdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and accepts payment in credit cards, cash and travelers checks.

It is located outside the Jay Street-Borough Hall station of the A, C and F trains; near the Court Street-Borough Hall station of the M, R, 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains; and the Lawrence Street station of the M and R trains.
