The community is encouraged to attend the celebration of free food, activities and fun at the 13th Annual Giggles and Games Family Day starting at 12 p.m., June 14 at ICL Emerson-Davis Family Center, 161 Emerson Place in Fort Greene.
Once a year, formerly homeless parents host the free Giggles and Games Family Day for the community and celebrate the reunions made possible by the 21-year-old Institute for Community Living (ICL) Emerson-Davis Family Center, where previously homeless adults battling mental illness live in a supportive environment with their children.
Free activities will include a petting zoo, Design a Bag, Make a Necklace, Paint a Dinosaur, Theatrical Family Photos, the American Museum of Natural History’s Movable Space Discovery Museum, face painting, and old-fashioned games.
Food has been donated by UTZ-Clem Snacks. New additions to the Family Day include a popcorn cart, a cotton candy station, an inflatable bouncer and a giant slide. There are no vendors and nothing is for sale.
