Starry-eyed students took to the stage – drawing rave reviews for their stellar showmanship – during the annual talent show at the Gil Hodges School P.S. 193.
The spring showcase – coordinated by the school’s Parents’ Association – had delighted audience members toe-tapped along as the skilled troupe put forth a lilting medley of crowd-pleasers; among them, musical duets, dance numbers and instrumental performances.
This year, the show was renamed the Aiese Talent Show in honor of Carmela Aiese, a former P.S. 193 parent and longtime Parents’ Association member who organized the event during its first 10 years of existence. Aiese was on hand this year to lend her support and expertise.
