Cops and the feds are searching for the brigand who robbed a Fifth Avenue TD Bank at gunpoint and made off with $3,000 cash on Nov. 14.
The thief walked into the bank at the corner of 82nd Street around 4 pm and told a teller he was there to open a new bank account. But as the teller was helping him, he flashed a gun tucked into his waistband and demanded the dough, according to a police report.
“Look at this,” he said to the teller, as he flashed the gun. “Give me the money. Give me the bait.”
The teller handed over the cash, and the man walked out and down 82nd Street. The suspect, who stands between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet tall and weighs around 190 pounds, was last seen wearing a blue-and-white striped dress shirt and a tan wool hat, police said. Officials consider him armed and dangerous.Anyone with information regarding the incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577–8477.
