Good tidings & cheer
Kudos to the Brooklyn Hospital Center, the staff and giving guests for making this year a fabulous festival for its patients in the pediatric ward and children from a nearby shelter.
The hospital pulled out all the stops to make this a December to remember with help from the New York City Police Dept., 88th Precinct Patrol and Borough Brooklyn North.
New York’s finest brought in Batman and the Batmobile chocked full of toys. Not to leave the grown-ups out in the cold, a multi-faith celebration of music and prayer was hosted by Pastoral Care and Community Affairs. Frank A. Haye and The Brooklyn Interdenominational Choir raised their voices with a special performance by the Rev. Earl Jones, Sr., Senior Pastor of First Calvary Baptist Church and his sons Rev. Earl Jones, Jr., Pastor of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, and William Jones.
“We are always delighted to welcome the Jones family. They lead our caroling with love and joy,” said Gilda Caputo-Hansen, director of community affairs.
