Grand Street Campus made a big-time statement with a 25–18 overtime victory over cross-borough rival Lincoln at Aviator Sports Complex on Oct. 20.
Wolves (5–2) senior quarterback Chris Mattocks found Jahquese Morris for the game-winning touchdown in overtime, and the defense sealed the deal, recovering a fumble on Lincoln’s (4–3) ensuing drive.
Mattocks was a force to be reckoned with under center, going 18-for-28 for 316 yards, three touchdowns — all to Morris — and no interceptions. He also added 70 yards on the ground.
Olakunle Fatukasi led the defensive charge with a team-high 16 tackles — including two for a loss — and recovered the game-clinching fumble. Donnovan Hicks, Donald Gaither Jr., and Dale Morris also notched double-digit tackles.
The Wolves take on Fort Hamilton in week eight in another Brooklyn-on-Brooklyn battle, while Lincoln heads to New Utrecht on Oct. 29.

The Dutchmen stayed perfect on the season as the defense took center stage, recording its second shutout of the year. Erasmus Hall allowed just 98 yards of total offense and picked off Canarsie quarterback Eric Anderson on one of his two passing attempts.
The squad faces its biggest test of the season in week eight, squaring off against Curtis on Oct. 29 — the only other undefeated team in the City Conference.

The Tigers ground game hit its stride from the opening whistle, rushing straight towards the team’s third-straight victory. Seba Nekhet and Troy Booker combined for 281 yards and five touchdowns on 21 carries. By the final whistle, Fort Hamilton racked up 308 yards on the ground, averaging nearly 13 yards per carry.
Booker also added six tackles, while Jonathan Louis chipped in five, including one for a loss and a sack.

The Kangaroos held off a ferocious late-game rally, holding on for a Public Schools Athletic League City Conference victory on Oct. 22. Senior quarterback Christophe Julmus completed all but one pass attempt, racking up 258 yards and two touchdowns through the air.
Boys & Girls’ ground game kept the squad on top down the stretch as seven players notched carries. Keson Edwards and Rondell Russell Jr. led the charge, combining for 245 yards on 15 carries.

Michael Marcovici did a bit of everything for the Engineers on Oct. 22, completing 12 passes for 139 yards and rushing for 103 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries. The junior accounted for nearly two-thirds of Brooklyn Tech’s offensive production.

The Hornets simply could not find an answer for Arthur Stimus as the senior running back rushed for a whopping 311 yards and three touchdowns. The loss snapped a two-game win streak for Midwood.

Eagles senior running back Ramell Redd was in complete control on Oct. 22, rushing for a game-high 206 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries. He also hauled in a pair of receptions for 42 yards and another touchdown.
Jurelle Heath led Eagle Academy’s defense with a team-high seven tackles, including three for a loss and two sacks.
