Brooklyn’s going green, and some of the borough’s top eco-experts were on hand to illustrate the point during a Green Brooklyn, Green City Conference at Borough Hall.
The fourth annual symposium, organized by the Center for Urban Environment, provided a day of information, workshops and demonstrations about how to live with a social conscience in one of the largest metropolises in the world.
Visitors learned how to solarize their homes, compost using environmentally-friendly methods, use non-toxic products and make art from recycled products as part of a campaign to create a more sustainable future through a partnership with community corporations, nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
