Green thief

Someone with a green thumb — and sticky fingers — made off with more than $150 in tools from a Vanderbilt Avenue back yard on June 19.

The 28-year-old owner of the house, between Sterling and Park places, told cops she left her residence at around 11:30 am. When she returned less than four hours later, she noticed two shovels, a hoe, a rake and some planter boxes were missing from her garden.

Cornered

Three women cornered and robbed another woman as she was walked down Classon Avenue on June 17.

The victim, 21, had just left a deli on the corner of St. Johns Place at around 8:15 pm when she was approached by three teenager girls. The suspects hit the victim in the face and grabbed her phone before running away.

Gun man

Police arrested a man after he brandished a gun inside of a Washington Avenue beauty salon on June 21.

The 19-year-old salon worker told police she was at her desk at around 6 pm when the suspect approached her and began to argue about his bill.

As the dispute escalated, the perp started to grab and push the victim. The thug then lifted up his shirt and displayed a gun before fleeing the building. He was apprehended by cops a few blocks away. — Emily Lavin
