With a bang
A grenade-toting man terrified a woman on Schermerhorn Street on Dec. 4 and challenged her to do something about it.
Armed with the explosive device, the perp confronted the victim between Hoyt and Smith streets at around 11 am.
“What are you going to do about this?” he asked the victim, according to documents from the District Attorney’s office.
The victim escaped without physical harm and police arrested a 50-year-old suspect who faces criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, and harassment charges.
Subway slurs
Cops arrested a straphanger who allegedly spouted racial epithets then kicked and bit an A train rider after on Dec. 5.
The irate commuter confronted the victim and her pals as the train neared the Hoyt–Schermerhorn station at around 5:10 pm and made a series of derogatory remarks before kicking the victim in the stomach.
The perp then bit the woman’s hand, according to documents from the District Attorney’s office.
Police cuffed a 22-year-old woman believed to be the attacker.
Bridge bashing
Police apprehended a 23-year-old accused of punching a man in the face on the Fulton Mall on Nov. 23.
The suspect allegedly slugged the victim with a closed fist at the corner of Bridge Street at around 4:30 pm, investigators said.
The man taken into custody faces charges of assault, menacing, and harassment, among other offenses.
