Rough ride
A worm threatened a taxi driver with a gun and stole his phone and cash on Greene Avenue on June 28, police said.
The 52-year-old driver was taking the crook to Nassau Street when he stopped at a red light near Washington Avenue at about 9:48 pm and the baddie whipped out a silver hand gun and demanded his cash, cops said. The victim handed the criminal $20 and his cellphone and then he hopped out of the cab, according to authorities.
Vision loss
Some good-for-nothings stole a guy’s phone, glasses, and wallet on Clifton Place on July 1, police said.
The 39-year-old victim told cops he was near Grand Avenue at about 1 am when the punks came up to him, grabbed his glasses so he couldn’t see, and then swiped his iPhone and wallet with credit cards and a gift card inside, according to authorities.
Not caught on camera
Some nogoodnik stole a woman’s camera equipment from her car parked on Gates Avenue sometime overnight on June 13, police said.
The 32-year-old victim told cops on June 25 that she had left her car unlocked near Downing Street on June 13 at about 6 pm, and when she returned the next day at 9 am, saw the sneak had grabbed her camera equipment, according to authorities.
Dude, where’s my car?
Some lout stole a guy’s car parked on Cambridge Place on June 30, police said.
The 41-year-old victim told police he had left his 2018 Infiniti unlocked with the keys inside near Fulton Street a little after midnight, and when he returned later that day at 9 am, it was gone, cops said.
The victim told police he had no outstanding parking summons and there was no broken glass at the scene, according to authorities.
