Southside mug
A masked gunman and his lookout held up a 22-year-old woman as she tried to enter her friend’s South Eighth Street apartment on Feb. 20.
The armed crook confronted the victim as she rang the doorbell of the apartment — which is between Driggs Avenue and Roebling Street — at around 11:35 pm.
“Give me your stuff,” the thug demanded as he pressed a black handgun to the victim’s head.
The victim forked over her Blackberry, iPod, debit card, IDs and keys.
Mace face
Two thugs punched and Maced a 34-year-old at the corner of Havemeyer Street and Broadway on Feb. 20.
The attackers confronted the victim at around 1:30 am and slugged him in the face. As the victim scuffled with one of the assailants, the other doused him with the painful peppery plume.
Subdued by the Mace, the crooks pilfered the victim’s pockets of $275.
Handbag heist
A thief grabbed a 23-year-old woman from behind and snatched her purse as she walked down Seigel Street on Feb. 20.
The thief ripped her bag away from the victim’s grasp at around 6:45 pm, fleeing from the block between White and Bogart streets with the woman’s iPod, digital camera, Metrocard and $100.
Powers struggle
Thieves ransacked a Powers Street apartment on Feb. 19 and snatched electronics valued at nearly $7,000.
The crooks pushed their way through the front door of the residence between 9:30 am and 7 pm while the victim was out. Once inside the apartment, which is between Manhattan and Graham avenues, the burglars grabbed a flat-screen TV, a laptop, a digital camera, a computer monitor and two iPods.
Laptops burgled
Burglars snatched electronics and jewelry from a Manhattan Avenue apartment on Feb. 20.
The thieves forced their way through the front door and pilfered the apartment — which is between Meserole and Scholes streets — escaping with laptops and necklace while the 31-year-old resident was out between 8:15 am and 5:20 pm.
