A punk who claimed to have a gun held up a woman and stole her cash and credit cards on Kingsland Avenue on March 16, police reported.
The woman told police that she was unlocking the door to her apartment between Driggs and Nassau avenues at 5:10 pm when a guy came up behind her and told her he had a gun.
“Give me your cash and credit cards,” the man said to her, while his hand was in his pocket, according to a police report. The victim said she handed over her cash and credit cards and the robber then told her to not scream. She screamed anyway and the villain ran.
A long way from home
A robber asked a man for directions to the Bronx and then held him up at gunpoint on N. Sixth Street in the early morning of March 20, said cops.
The victim told police that he was between Roebling and Havemeyer streets at 3 am when a guy walked up to him and asked him how to get to the Bronx. The victim started to answer but then the stranger pulled out a gun and demand the victim’s wallet and cellphone, police reported.
The victim handed over his wallet, and the crook hit the victim across the face with the pistol and ran off, according to the police report.
Childish behavior
Cops cuffed a woman who they said attacked the father of her child while he was holding their baby in their Manhattan Avenue apartment on March 21.
The victim told police that he was arguing with his girlfriend in their pad near Greenpoint Avenue at 11:20 am when he picked up the baby. His girlfriend came at him with a knife and slashed him a crossed both arms, cutting him severely, a police report stated.
Police arrested the woman and charged her with assault, according to the report.
Zooming off
Someone stole a guy’s Kawasaki motorcycle from his Engert Avenue backyard on March 15.
The victim told police that he parked his motorcycle in the rear a lot of his apartment between Leonard and Eckford streets at 2:30 pm.
When he went back outside at 10 pm, he found the motorcycle gone, according to the police report.
Foul behavior
Bandits stole a man’s backpack as he was playing basketball in McCarren Park on March 18.
The victim told police that he set his bag — which included cash, his cellphone, identification, a credit card, and a wallet — down to play ball in the park at 6:15 pm.
When he finished his game at 6:27 pm and returned to his bag, he realized it was missing, cops said. According to the police report, witnesses told police that they saw three men running through the park, drop the items, and then pick them up and keep running.
One-two punch
A pair of robbers executed an intricate plan to steal electronics from a Franklin Street store on March 20.
The manager of the store between Green and Freeman streets told police that one of the men came in at 6:15 pm. Police say that while the first robber was talking to a clerk, the second one slipped into the back of the store and grabbed a laptop and expensive microphone.
Then, that robber ran out of the store, followed by the first one, who held the door shut so that the clerk could not chase them, cops said.
