Gun-toting trio sought
Three thugs are being sought for gunning down a 43-year-old man on E. 15th Street on March 18 in what police are calling a robbery gone bad.
Investigators believe the unidentified males shot Avenue K resident David Apelewicz between Avenues H and I after trying to hold him up at 5:30 am.
Apelewicz was rushed to Kings County Hospital, but died of his injuries on March 27.
Anyone with information regarding this robbery is urged to come forward.

Shooter celled
An 18-year-old was arrested for assault and gun possession charges on March 25 after he accidentally shot his friend on Ocean Avenue.
Police say the suspect was playing with a .22 caliber pistol inside an apartment, which is between Church Avenue and Albemarle Road, when he pulled the trigger, hitting his friend in the neck.
His friend, miraculously, survived the ordeal, officials said.
Scissor stabber
A 49-year-old woman was arrested on March 29 after she stabbed a worker at a Church Avenue Dunkin’ Donuts.
Workers at the eatery, which is near E. 17th Street, told police that the woman entered the donut shop at 8:40 am and began yelling at an employee.
When the worker turned his back on the woman, she raised a pair of shears and jammed them into the man’s back, causing a slight injury.
Beaten for cellphone
Two crooks ganged up on a 13-year-old boy on Rugby Road on March 28, taking his cellphone.
The victim said he was between Cortelyou and Dorchester roads at 8:40 pm when the thieves punched him until he gave up his phone. The thieves got their just desserts, however, and were arrested a short time later.
iPod thief busted
A 26-year-old was arrested for taking an iPod off a 15-year-old girl on March 24.
The victim was on her way to school when a friend asked her to go with her to a home on E. 58th Street so she could retrieve a phone charger.
Once they arrived, the 26-year-old thief, who the victim knew, demanded she hand over her cellphone.
After a brief struggle, the thief ran off with the girl’s iPod — but was arrested a short time later.
Fire sale
A crafty thief tried to bilk a Flatbush Avenue supermarket of $248 on March 18 by trying to pass himself off as a fire inspector — but inflamed workers doused his plans.
Workers at the grocery, which is between Avenues I and J, said the thief entered the store at 2:20 pm, and claimed that the business had failed a fire inspection.
The thief was demanding $248 for the inspection when workers challenged his authority and demanded to see his ID — which sent the imposter hot-footing out the door.
Shot on Schenectady
A trigger-happy gunman killed one man and wounded another during a March 21 confrontation on Schenectady Avenue.
Witnesses said the gunman opened fire on his two victims between Church and Snyder avenues at 5:25 pm, hitting a 23-year-old in the leg and chest. The 23-year-old was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he died. The second man, 36, was shot in the leg and was listed in stable condition.
Cops are asking anyone with information regarding this shooting to come forward.

Nostrand raid
Three thieves beat a Nostrand Avenue grocer with a metal scooter during a March 19 raid.
The victim told police that he was inside the store, which is between Avenues I and J, at 6:50 pm when the thieves came in and started pocketing a number of items.
The worker tried to stop the thefts, but one of the thieves struck him with the scooter.
Taxi rob
Two gun-toting thieves robbed a cab driver on March 19 during a furious altercation on E. 55th Street.
The driver told police that he was between Glenwood Road and Avenue H when the two suspects approached and flashed a silver firearm.
The thieves then opened the door, snagged the driver’s cellphone, and ran off.
