Standing O welcomes Gary G. Terrinoni as the soon-to-be president and chief executive officer at the Brooklyn Hospital Center. He is presently the executive veep of administration and chief financial officer of the Kennedy Health System in New Jersey. Standing O pal Gary will be taking over the reigns from Dr. Richard B. Becker in November.
Prior to joining Kennedy Health System, Gary was a leading executive at Richmond University Medical Center on Staten Island.

More welcomes aboard!
The Metropolitan Jewish Health System let Standing O know that David Wagner is assuming leadership of Elderplan/HomeFirst as chief operating officer of Health Plans and Timothy Higgins becomes chief operating officer MJHS Provider Services. Standing O pal David also retains his position as chief financial officer. Previously, Standing O’s other pal Timothy was executive veep of MJHS Home Care and MJHS Home Care Solutions.
Explaining the plan to Standing O, president and chief executive officer Alexander Balko said, “This is an extraordinary period of change for both managed care and provider services.” Adding, “David and Tim have the expertise and passion necessary to continue our long-standing promise to care for frail, elderly, and at-risk members of the community with compassion, dignity, and respect. They are equally committed to ensuring MJHS remains a fiscally responsible not-for-profit. I look forward to working with them to build a framework for the next generation of MJHS initiatives.”

Boffo BAFTA!
Brooklyn College students Amina Ebada, BBC America Diversity Scholar; Salomeya (Sally) Lomidze, Walkers Shortbread Scholar; Jeremy Norris, DLT Entertainment Scholar; and Lamont Baldwin, Dreamworks Animation Scholar, are all recipients of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) scholarship for 2015–2016.
The scholarship program, managed by BAFTA in the UK, Los Angeles and New York, is part of the organization’s charitable activity, supporting talented people at all stages of their careers in film, television, or games. As well as financial support, the BAFTA Scholars will gain free access to BAFTA events and receive one-to-one mentoring from BAFTA members, award-winners, and nominees.
