Police are looking for a trio of toughs they believe beat and robbed several elderly Coney Islanders at the close of last year.
The three cowards, who appear to be teenagers, have ambushed oldsters in five incidents since Nov. 30, mostly in and around public housing on the neighborhood’s west end.
• The goons jumped a 61-year-old woman outside her apartment in a W. 33rd Street public housing building at 9:30 am on Nov. 30, according to officials. They took a purse containing $6 and a cellphone, a report states.
•Then, the three waylaid a 68-year-old man outside another building in the W. 33rd Street complex at 10:30 pm on Dec. 19. One of the louts punched the senior in the head, cutting his lip and causing him to lose consciousness, cops said. The creep’s two partners went through the victim’s wallet and took $120, according to police.
• The three robbed a 78-year-old man in the hallway of his W. 30th Street public housing building around 2:30 pm on Dec. 27, officials say. They tried to hit him and missed, but they did make off with $160, a metrocard, and a bank card, cops said.
• Then the reprobates punched an 82-year-old woman in the back of the head outside her W. 33rd Street apartment before taking her pocketbook containing $350 at 11:30 am on Dec. 29, according to police reports.
• About an hour later, the ruffians kicked a woman in the back, causing her to fall down, near a W. 33rd Street apartment building — but they did not steal anything, according to cops.
