Help Japan at a fun party tomorrow night

Party for Japan!

Big hearted Brooklynites will raise money for earthquake-ravaged Japan — and celebrate the night away — during a special April 22 fund raiser held at Williamsburg’s Ooba Restaurant and Lounge.

Money collected from the night-long Grand Street party between Leonard and Lorimer streets will go to the American Red Cross to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami that hit the Land of the Rising Sun last month.

“When I opened this venue over a year ago, I wanted to have a place to host events where people donate to worthwhile causes,” Ooba owner Nyree Martinez said. “There are so many people out there that are less fortunate than us. Every dollar we raise will go to help others in need.

A $10 donation at the door will also get you free raffle tickets for an assortment of prize giveaways as well as the best mix of house, Latin, rock and top 40 music today’s DJs have to offer.

There will also be plenty of Corona Light on hand — the company is helping to sponsor the fund raiser.
