The jig — the Irish jig — is up for the new Miss Brooklyn, Keelie Sheridan.
The 22-year-old Manhattan Beach native river-danced her way to the tiara on Sunday in Long Island University’s Kumble Theater.
Her Irish dancing sealed the deal, but observers were quite taken by Sheridan’s performance in the “lifestyle and fitness” category — the dreaded swimsuit.
Sheridan easily won that category with a two-piece white number.
Sheridan’s victory returns the crown to Brooklyn, because last year’s winner and third runner up in the Miss America competition, Leigh–Taylor Smith, actually lived in Manhattan.
