A a dollop of goodwill and cheer greeted seasonal frolickers as festivities got underway for the Madison-Marine Homecrest Civic Association’s annual holiday party at the King’s Chapel.
The brisk weather didn’t stop local electeds from making an appearance at the synagogue, 2702 Quentin Road, where among the topics for celebration was the controversial ground hole at 1610 Avenue S, which now has been back-filled and secured with a chain-link fence.
Anticipating snow, Borough President came bearing gifts: caps emblazoned with “Brooklyn” for President Mary Powell and Executive Veep Ed Jaworski.
The association will take a winter break until March 18 when it will resume meetings.
