It’s that time of the year!
A two-day holiday market will open in time for the holiday season at the Brooklyn Navy Yard from Dec. 7-8.
The industrial-area-turned-tech-hub will hold its second annual fair at Admirals Row — adjacent to the recently-opened upstate mega-grocer Wegmans — where Brooklynites can get their presents early from more than 40 local manufacturers, according to the head of the business park.
“We are excited to welcome New Yorkers to the Yard and to kick off the holiday season with our annual holiday market,” said the Navy Yard’s president and CEO David Ehrenberg in a prepared statement. “This festive weekend offers visitors the chance to get started on their holiday shopping and to also support dozens of local businesses that manufacture specialty products right here in Brooklyn – many of them made at the Navy Yard.”
Visitors will be able to browse vendors — two dozen of which are based in the Navy Yard — selling art and design, food and drink, home goods and furniture, jewelry and fashion, and wellness products.
There will also be a create-your-own gift section where kids and adults can decorate cookies, engrave ornaments and do screen printing, according to organizers.
