A trespassing thief shot a man inside his 70th Street apartment while the victim was watching television on Jan. 5.

The 53-year-old victim was plopped on the couch within his home, near 20th Avenue, when a gun-toting thug broke in through a back kitchen window, at around 9:40 pm.

The perp yelled, “Give me the money and jewelry,” and the victim initially complied, handing over $750.

But as the thief was about to leave, the victim attacked the perp, and he was shot.

Teenage strife

A man was mugged by a gang of teenagers as he was walking on Benson Avenue towards the D train on Jan. 4.

The 25-year-old was near Bay 26th Street at around 9 pm when the group rushed him from behind. The first two thugs restrained the victim, while the third thug rifled his pockets, stealing electronics and his cellphone, police said.

The group fled towards 21st Avenue, with the property, which was valued at $499.

Drive-by

A man was held at gunpoint by a thug who jumped out of white Cadillac as he walking on Bay 14th Street at 11:20 pm on New Years Eve.

The victim coughed up $600, and watched as the perp fled in the luxury car, police said.

Fake cop

A thug impersonating a police officer robbed a man steps away from his Bay 28th Street home on Dec. 30.

The 33-year-old noticed a black Lincoln following him as he was walking to his home, which is near Bath Avenue. At around 9:45 pm, the fake cop came out of the vehicle and screamed, “Stop! Police! Do you have any drugs?” and displayed a fake shield. The victim handed over his wallet, after the thug displayed a black firearm, and searched him for narcotics.

The “cop” handed back the wallet, taking $115, along with the victim’s ID , police said.

Tool swipe

Two 74th Street residents were robbed of construction equipment in separate break-ins.

The first incident was on Dec. 28, when a commercial van was broken into and robbed near 21st Avenue.

Five days later, a thug broke into the basement of a home also near 21st Avenue.
