Inside job

In a scene straight out of a movie, a gunman hid in the backseat of his victim’s Ford Expedition on May 30 — and pounced when the unsuspecting mark came out of the bank.

The crook broke into the SUV — which was parked in the bank parking lot on Broadway between Bedford and Driggs Avenues — just after 10 am, as his victim was inside withdrawing $3,500.

When the victim returned to his truck, the thug grabbed him around the neck.

“I have a gun — don’t call the cops,” he said. “I know somebody at your job. They sent me here.”

The victim handed over the cash then yelled for help.

The crook fled onto Bedford Avenue and drove off in his own car, which was parked at the corner of South Eighth Street.

Aluminum loot

A hooligan robbed a Grand Street storage facility of $3,600 in aluminum.

The thug snatched the silvery strips from a lot, which is between Waterbury and Catherine streets, between 6 pm on May 24 and 10:15 am on May 26, cops say.

Gun play?

A thug pretending he had a gun mugged a woman in the lobby of her Maujer Street apartment just before midnight on May 29.

“Don’t make a sound,” the vicious hood said as he yanked the woman’s purse from her shoulder. “If you scream, I’ll blow your head off.”

Granny bash

Cops arrested a man for yanking a purse from a 72-year-old woman’s shoulder on May 30, sending her to the hospital with a neck injury.

Police say the 36-year-old suspect grabbed the black bag from the victim in front of her Moore Street apartment at around 3:35 pm. But he didn’t get far from the apartment, which is between Leonard Street and Manhattan Avenue.

Cops say they arrested the suspect after they saw him concealing the purse under his shirt.

Purse snatch

A hoodlum snatched a 34-year-old woman’s purse while she played a video game at a Union Avenue bar-arcade on May 31.

The North Fifth Street woman left her bag unattended for only about 30 seconds while she went to get change at around 2 am. When she returned, her bag — which contained her dark green eyeglasses, iPhone, wallet, Metrocard, debit cards, jacket, umbrella, and $65 — were gone.

Surveillance video shows a perp grabbing the bag and escaping from the “barcade,” which is between Powers and Ainslie streets.
